The Performance Cook's duties will include:\nMaintain equipment, including refrigerators, stoves, ice machines, dish washer, etc..\n\nPerform other duties as directed by the Executive Chef\n\nMust be able to work catering events, nights, and weekends as needed by client request.\n\nEnsure that the kitchen and surrounding areas are sanitized and clean in accordance with company standards and health code regulations\n\nAbility to prep creative, simple, health oriented menu items on a daily basis, implementing EXOS’ nutrition principles, in a sanitary and timely manner\n\nFollows recipes, portion controls, and procedures as established by the EXOS kitchen\n\nCleans and maintains station up to standards while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills\n\nPosses’ creativity, desirability to learn, and has uttermost respect for food\n\nAnswers, reports, and follows Executive or Sous Chef’s instructions\n\nAssists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas\n\nPerforms additional responsibilities as requested by the chef or sous chef at any time\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nPosition Reports to: Performance Executive Chef and Performance Sous Chef\nQualifications:\nMinimum 2 year’s restaurant experience as a prep and/or line cook\n\nKitchen sensed, self-motivated, driven, organized, and clean\n\nAbility to receive feedback and take instructions\n\nUnderstanding of professional cooking, knife handling skills, and various cuisines\n\nUnderstanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures\n\nExcellent customer service and a hospitable attitude\n\nProfessional communication skills\n\nCulinary Nutrition degree and background preferred\n\nUnderstanding of Exchange System\n\nFamiliarity and experience with ESHA Food Processor\n\nAbility to work in a team environment\n\nAbility to work calmly and effectively under pressure in an open kitchen environment\n\nMust be able to read, understand, and follow basic cooking directions\n\nMust be able to work some catering events, nights, and weekends during high season\n\nCommitment to quality service\n\nWorking Conditions:\nGenerally in an indoor open kitchen setting.\n\nDaily use of ESHA Food Processor and basic word, and excel computer programs.\n\nVarying schedule to include evenings, some holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold from the mechanical equipment.\n\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud\n\nUphold the EXOS Mission Statement, objectives, nutrition principles, and all future direction set forth by the EXOS management.\n\nAbide by all policies and procedures set forth in the EXOS Policies and Procedures Manual.\n\nThink you're a good fit?
