As our new Swim Instructor you will:\nTeach various levels and age groups in accordance with the sites instructional guidelines\n\nPlan lessons, select appropriate drills, and evaluate the student’s progress\n\nPresent proper demonstrations and explain skills, analyze and correct performance, minimize fear, and use appropriate teaching devices\n\nMaintain a safe and positive teaching environment\n\nAttend all in-service trainings\n\nMaintain accurate records and prepare course completion certificates\n\nPerform all swimming strokes and skills taught in all levels\n\nEffectively communicate each student’s progress either to the student directly, or to the student’s parents where appropriate\n\nProject and promote a professional image\n\nExplain and enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures to patrons\n\nOther tasks as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nCurrent CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire\n\nCurrent Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire\n\nPrior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons highly preferred\n\nPer pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $52 - $82/hour in addition to admin rates as required by local law. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, duration of class, and work experience as well as other business needs.
