We’re proud to design technology that doesn’t just redefine intralogistics, it also makes warehouses safer, faster, more efficient, and less physically demanding for the people working inside them.\nWhy this role matters:\nOur Software Integration team serves as the technical bridge between software and robotics, working directly on customer-facing integration projects to ensure Exotec's automation platform communicates seamlessly with the systems that power modern warehouse operations, from testing and deployment through go-live.\nResponsibilities\n Develop, configure, and support software integrations between Exotec products and customer software ecosystems, including WMS, WCS, ERP, and other operational platforms.\nParticipate in the analysis of customer business and software requirements and contribute to the development of scalable integration solutions.\nDesign, develop, test, and troubleshoot APIs, interfaces, data flows, and middleware components supporting warehouse automation deployments.\nCreate and maintain software development specifications, technical documentation, and functional analyses describing system behavior and integration workflows.\nSupport integration testing, system validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities to ensure successful software deployments.\nCollaborate closely with hardware, systems, field commissioning, project management, and customer teams to ensure seamless end-to-end system integration.\nPerform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues spanning software, databases, APIs, messaging systems, and warehouse automation environments.\nReview functional requirements and technical specifications to ensure quality, maintainability, and alignment with customer needs.\nSupport the handoff of new software functionality and integrations to operational, support, and customer teams.\nParticipate in customer-facing meetings, workshops, testing sessions, and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on software quality, deployment processes, testing practices, and engineering standards.\nProvide on-site support at customer warehouse locations across North America as required.\nDemonstrate Exotec's values and contribute positively to our collaborative engineering culture.\nRequirements\nWe strongly encourage applications from candidates of all genders to help us build a truly inclusive environment. If you don’t meet every requirement listed below, don’t worry-your skills and experiences may still make you a great fit!\n1-4 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, application support, automation, or a related technical discipline.\nExperience developing or supporting software applications using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, SQL, REST APIs, or similar modern software development tools.\nUnderstanding of software integration concepts, including APIs, data flows, messaging, middleware, databases, or system-to-system communication.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze technical issues and identify root causes.\nExperience working within Agile development environments and collaborating across multiple technical disciplines.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.\nClear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExposure to warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), warehouse execution systems (WES), logistics, fulfillment, industrial automation, robotics, or material handling systems is highly desirable.
