We are very strong believers in \"you built it, you own it!\".\n\nAnd running a distributed system is very different from just building one!\n\nWe are crazy about the high availability.\n\nWhat you will do?\n\n- Lead projects related to Exotel's telephony and VoIP stack.\n\n- Responsible for driving projects throughout its lifecycle.\n\n- Work with a team of engineers to explore, design, develop, test, deploy, and operationalize a product's features & improvements.\n\n- Build fault-tolerant, scalable and real-time distributed voip system.\n\n- Effectively work in a collaborative and agile team environment.\n\n- Support team with timely analysis and debugging of operational issues.\n\n- Be on rotational on-call roster to handle operational issues.\n\n- Emphasis on automation and scripting.\n\n- Mentor junior engineers in the team.\n\nWhat we look for?\n\nMust Haves :\n\n- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Communications Engineering.\n\n- Experience leading project team to deliver critical software solutions.\n\n- 3+ years experience in working with a major cloud platform like AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure.\n\n- 5+ years experience in design and development of REST-based microservices.\n\n- 4+ Experience in programming with one of Golang (preferred), Ruby, C/C++.\n\n- Experience in scripting with shell, python.\n\n- Experience with datastores such as MySQL, Postgres.\n\n- Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, kubernetes, Git.\n\n- Good understanding of data structures, multi-threading and concurrency concepts.\n\n- Proficiency in working in Linux environment.\n\n- Experience working in Agile SDLC process.\n\n- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.\n\n- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\n- Team-player, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.\n\n- A \"devops\" mindset.
