As part of our In-Orbit Services (IoS) division, we are looking for a Functional Avionics Architect to define, maintain, and validate the functional avionics architecture of our satellite platforms.\nYou will play a key role in ensuring the consistency, robustness, and traceability of avionics functions across the spacecraft, from system requirements allocation to integration and validation activities.\nYour Missions\nAvionics Functional Architecture Definition\nTranslate system and mission requirements into avionics functions allocated to spacecraft equipment.\n\nDefine and maintain the functional architecture baseline, including functional diagrams, allocations, and operational scenarios.\n\nLead architecture workshops with System, Software, AOCS, DHS, IVV, and other engineering teams.\n\nEnsure consistency between system requirements and avionics functional implementation.\n\nFunctional Consistency & Interface Management\nEnsure functional consistency between avionics equipment such as OBC, PCDU, GNSS receivers, AOCS sensors, and TM/TC systems.\n\nDefine and maintain internal functional ICDs, including data flows, synchronization, timing, and command logic.\n\nDrive technical trade-offs while balancing performance, maturity, cost, and system constraints.\n\nSupport architectural decisions and interface management throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nIntegration, Verification & Validation Support\nContribute to the definition of IVV strategies, including HIL testing, simulations, and integration benches.\n\nSupport the development and validation of FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation and Recovery) strategies.\n\nEnsure traceability and verification of avionics requirements throughout testing activities.\n\nContribute to compliance with ECSS and applicable space standards.\n\nProject Coordination & Work Package Leadership\nAct as Work Package Leader (WPL) for Functional Avionics Architecture activities.\n\nDefine and maintain planning, workload, milestones, delivery strategy, and project objectives.\n\nCoordinate contributors and ensure the quality, completeness, and traceability of deliverables.\n\nRepresent the work package toward project management and other technical teams.\n\nParticipate in customer and internal reviews such as PDR and CDR.\n\nCommunicate progress, risks, and technical decisions to stakeholders.\n\nAbout You\nRequired Experience\nSeveral years of experience in avionics, systems engineering, functional architecture, or spacecraft development.\n\nStrong understanding of complex systems and the interactions between multiple avionics subsystems.\n\nExperience translating system requirements into functional architectures and technical solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with verification, validation, integration, and testing activities.\n\nExperience working in aerospace, space, defense, or other high-reliability industries.\n\nPrevious experience in the space sector is a strong plus.\n\nTechnical Skills\nFunctional avionics architecture design and allocation.\n\nGood understanding of satellite avionics subsystems and their interactions.\n\nRequirements engineering, traceability, and system verification.\n\nIVV methodologies, system validation, and functional testing approaches.\n\nKnowledge of FDIR principles and fault management strategies.\n\nUnderstanding of ECSS standards and space engineering processes.\n\nAbility to structure and manage complex multi-equipment architectures.\n\nCross-functional coordination and technical leadership.\n\nSoft Skills\nStrong analytical and systems-thinking mindset.\n\nExcellent technical communication and documentation skills.\n\nAttention to detail and traceability.\n\nAbility to explain complex concepts
