Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Drainage & Hydrology Engineer!\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team based in any one of EXP locations in Ontario and have the opportunity to build our transportation planning and operational analysis business lines, and to take their career to the next level.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nAssist in development and supervision of a team that handles transportation detailed design and planning projects.\nPrepare preliminary design reports (PDR), design criteria, preliminary and detailed designs associated with new and/or the rehabilitation/modifications of drainage and stormwater management infrastructure.\nPrepare preliminary designs for CADD staff and review drawings for compliance with applicable industry and client standards.\nPrepare Contract Specifications, Tender Documents, and Applications for Agency Approvals.\nReview and issue finalized Shop Drawings.\nCoordinate and mentor junior staff working within the team.\nLiaise with Clients, Sub-consultants, Contractors and construction supervision staff. \nAssist with the preparation of Proposals for potential projects. \nLead or support Environmental Assessment for municipal transportation projects.\nAct as a Project Manager for Transportation tasks and projects. \nMaintain client communications; prepare technical reports and presentations. \nCoordinate internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with quality control. \nOversee the assessments and preparation of reports, drawings, etc. by staff. \nAttend public/private meetings and make presentations as a representative of EXP and /or our clients. \nAssist in business development activities to continue to grow our group. \nAssist in hiring of and directly oversee and mentor more junior team members. \nDevelop and implement internal training, standard practices and QA/QC methodologies. \nMake a positive contribution to the overall EXP culture and environment.\nWhat your experience looks like\nDegree in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, preferably with Ontario Municipal Road and Provincial authorities. \nP. Eng. designation with PEO is required. \nExperience in supervision, budget management, report preparation, and client relationship management.\nEmphasis and proficiency with Civil 3D, ArcMap, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, MIKE, etc. \nStrong computer software skills with ProjectWise, Word, Excel & MS Project.\nKnowledge with MTO and Metrolinx standards, including various Municipal & Regional design and drafting standards.\nSkilled in cost estimating, quantity preparation and specification writing.\nIndependent, Organized and Motivated Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills. \nAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deliver projects under stringent schedules in a fast-paced turnaround environment.\nExcellent oral & written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities.\nAttention to detail and accuracy; and\nStrong interpersonal skills that focus on meeting customer requirements. \nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization\nThe salary range for this role is between $92,043K-$122,010K.
