Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Electrical Engineering Manager\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role, you will lead a dynamic team of electrical engineers and designers for Science, Technology and Healthcare MEP projects in the San Diego, California office.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nTechnical Subject Matter Expert in electrical building systems design.\nLead, supervise, and mentor designer level staff on all of their responsibilities.\nKnowledge in/with the CEC/NEC, NFPA Life Safety Code, HCAI, and DSA standards. \nPerform at a ‘responsible charge’ level meeting EXP’s design and quality levels.\nPerforms complex code analysis and writes interpretation for design team.\nOversee development of design concepts and ensure proper application and execution.\nVerifies designer’s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.\nResponsible for applying firms risk management practices of project engineering.\nLead the design team to produce construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.\nExecute complex electrical designs.\nEvaluate Value Engineering items with respect to EXP’s level of risk.\nPrepares studies and reports for high profile projects.\nPositively contribute to EXP and local office culture.\nWhat your experience looks like\nMinimum of 15 years of experience in related design in one of the following: Healthcare, Life Sciences, Research and Development, and other facilities systems and building projects.\nEngineering Degree (BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree).\nRegistered Professional Engineer in the state of California.\nAbility to travel locally.\nThe pay range for this role is $170,000 - $225,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
