Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Environmental Engineer/Geoscientist/Qualified Person!\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role, you will be part of the Earth & Environment sector, based in our Windsor, ON office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop themselves within our fast-growing group with very competitive compensation packages, commensurate with experience.\nAs an Environmental Project Manager, the primary role will be to manage Projects of different complexities, maintain existing clientele while continuously developing new clientele. The role will also require the successful candidate to perform other job-related duties, including multi-disciplinary projects and assisting other regional offices and multi-disciplinary Project work.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nProject management of Hazardous Materials related project work;\nPlan, conduct and oversee Phase One and Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), remediation and associated Record of Site Condition (RSC) work in accordance with applicable CSA Standards as well as Ontario Regulation 153/04;\nPlan, conduct and oversee Qualified Person (QPESA) services in accordance with Ontario Regulation 406/19, including Assessment of Past Use Reports, Soil Characterization Reports, Excess Soil Destination Assessment Reports, Fill Management Plans, etc.; \nConduct incoming fill review and approval for earthwork projects in accordance with Ontario Regulation 406/19 and Fill Management Plans;\nReview preliminary site information or Request for Proposals, and develop appropriate scope of works for ESA and excess soil management projects;\nConduct peer reviews of environmental reports;\n\nThe ability to effectively manage assigned staff during multiple projects being completed in parallel time frames;\nDaily work will include management and/or completion of designated substance and asbestos assessment projects, mould and moisture assessments, indoor air quality assessments, lead and silica assessments and monitoring;\nResponsible for reports and specification preparation and management of personnel during inspections of abatement or remedial work;\nPreparing contract documents and being accountable for all financials for projects;\nTraining and mentoring junior and intermediate technologists;\nMaintaining and enhancing quality control and will work within the assigned QA/QC framework within the group;\nMust be available to work during weekends and nights, as required;\nDevelop practical project-specific solutions and recommendations based on clear understanding of client and project requirements;\nBusiness Development; and,\nMaintain excellent working relationships with clients.\nWhat your experience looks like\n5 to 10 years’ of experience in environmental consulting specialized in environmental site assessment and excess soils related projects;\nP.Eng. or P.Geo. license in Ontario (or equivalent designation);\nQPESA designation, an asset;\nUniversity degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology;\nExtensive working knowledge with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Record of Site Conditions;\nExtensive working knowledge with Ontario Regulation 406/16 and associated Soil Rules;\nFamiliar with construction and earthworks in general from an environmental standpoint;\nWorking knowledge of remediation systems and techniques as well as Risk Assessments;\nExperience in geotechnical and hydrogeological engineering an asset;\nExcellent oral communication and presentation skills as well as ability to clearly convey project information to client or stakeholders;\nStrong technical writing abilities;\n\nExperience in reading technical reports as well as architectural drawings in order to prepare detailed specifications, drawings, reports and RFP/RFQ documents for clientele\nExpertise in budget management, report preparation and client relationship management;\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license, insurance and their own transportation; and,\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe salary range for this role is between $75K-$100K.
