Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Environmental Engineer.\nYour work environment at EXP\nEXP is currently seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental team in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career professional looking to develop their technical and project experience on a diverse range of environmental, transportation, and infrastructure projects.\nWorking alongside experienced engineers and environmental professionals, you will contribute to projects that support sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance throughout Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nSupport environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance projects for transportation, infrastructure, and development initiatives.\nAssist with environmental site investigations, field programs, and data collection activities.\nParticipate in environmental monitoring programs and environmental management plans.\nPrepare technical reports, permit applications, regulatory submissions, and project documentation.\nAnalyze environmental data and contribute to technical recommendations and solutions.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, planners, and environmental specialists.\nSupport project managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and deliverable preparation.\nParticipate in site visits and fieldwork activities as required.\nEnsure work is completed in accordance with applicable regulations, health and safety requirements, and company standards.\nWhat your experience looks like\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related engineeringor geologydiscipline.\n1-2 years of relevant environmental engineering experience.\nRegistered as, or eligible to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).\nProfessional Engineer or Geologist (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) designation is considered an asset but is not required.\nInterest in environmental projects related to transportation, infrastructure, and community development.\nUnderstanding of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and environmental assessment principles is an asset.\nStrong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nValid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.\nEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
