Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Geotechnical Field Technician!\nYour work environment at EXP\nAs a Geotechnical Field Technician at EXP, you’ll gain practical exposure to geotechnical and environmental fieldwork while supporting a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects. This is a great role for students studying civil engineering, environmental engineering, geoscience, or related fields who want real-world field experience. **Candidates may be considered for either a full-time position or a casual contract role, depending on qualifications and business needs.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nConduct soil compaction testing using a soil density gauge \nPerform concrete field tests (slump, air content) and cast concrete test cylinders \nObserve asphalt placement and conduct sampling and compaction testing \nWhat your experience looks like\nGraduated from Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences or related program diploma\nMinimum 2 years of experience in inspection and testing such as concrete and compacting testing, footing, subgrade, and/or rebar inspections, and engineered fill\nCCIL Certified in Field concrete testing \nAbility to problem-solve and think proactively on site \nComfortable reading and interpreting drawings/specifications (training provided) \nStrong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with contractors and team members \nSolid report writing and attention to detail \nValid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to job sites \nPhysically able to lift/carry equipment such as soil density gauges and concrete cylinders\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe hourly range for this role is between $23 to $28.
