Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Intermediate Intermediate Civil / Municipal Engineer!\nYour work environment at EXP\nEXP is looking for an Intermediate Civil / Municipal Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Infrastructure team in Western Canada.\nAs a part of the Civil Engineering Infrastructure - Western Canada team, you will support the planning, design, coordination and delivery of municipal and civil infrastructure projects for public- and private-sector clients.\nThis role is suited to an engineer with a solid technical foundation who is ready to take greater responsibility for project delivery while continuing to grow and develop their professional skills including engineering design, project management, coordination and client-facing skills.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nComplete civil and municipal engineering analyses, designs and technical documentation.\n\nSupport water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway, transportation and municipal infrastructure projects.\n\nPrepare calculations, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates and tender documents.\n\nContribute to municipal servicing studies, infrastructure assessments and planning assignments.\n\nParticipate in conceptual, preliminary and detailed design for deep (wet) utilities, roadways, public open spaces, and other municipal infrastructure.\n\nCoordinate designs with other engineering disciplines, municipalities, utility agencies, contractors and project stakeholders.\n\nReview drawings and technical deliverables for accuracy, completeness and coordination.\n\nParticipate in client meetings, field reviews and construction-phase support, as required.\n\nAssist project managers with scope, budgets, schedules, work planning and project controls.\n\nProvide technical guidance to junior engineers, engineers-in-training, technologists and technicians.\n\nContribute to proposals, expressions of interest and pursuit activities.\n\nFollow EXP quality, risk management and project delivery requirements.\n\nWhat your experience looks like\nDegree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\n\nProfessional engineering registration, or eligibility for registration, in the applicable Western Canadian jurisdiction.\n\nRelevant consulting, municipal or civil infrastructure experience.\n\nExperience preparing civil / municipal infrastructure designs and engineering deliverables.\n\nWorking knowledge of municipal design standards, specifications and approval processes.\n\nStrong technical writing, communication, organization and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multi-office project teams.\n\nPractical, solutions-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and client service.\n\nAssets\nExperience in municipal infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, stormwater, land development or infrastructure renewal.\n\nExperience coordinating with civil designers and technologists.\n\nConstruction-phase or field-review experience.\n\nExperience coordinating Municipal Approvals\n\nExperience coordinating 3rdParty utility Designs\n\nEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
