In this role, you will be a part of the Buildings group based in London, ON and will work closely with the mechanical and electrical team members in the London office along with other offices in the region.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nCAD proficient with working CAD drawings. Proficiency with REVIT would be an asset.\nPrepare/Review calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems load calculations.\nThorough knowledge of relevant codes and standards.\nCreate written specifications to reflect the project requirements.\nCoordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines and other consultants during SD and DD phases.\nSelect and schedule HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems equipment.\nMeet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application.\nCoordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, Arch, Struct, etc.).\nRespond to RFI’s for the project and accurately review submittals.\nProvide construction support, including answering construction queries, review shop drawings, and providing construction change documentation.\nApply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems.\nUnderstand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan.\nUnderstand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents - and deliver appropriate documentation.\nWork with PC, PM, and Clients to meet scheduled project milestones of multiple projects.\nManage and deliver revisions (ASI’s, etc.) and sketches according to proper numbering convention.\nEdit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc.).\nMarket Sector - Understands specific engineering requirements for applications within a market sector.\nUnderstand and properly provide existing exp details relevant to projects.\nBe able to direct and mentor Designer level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis.\nPerform at a ‘responsible charge’ level of meeting exp’s design and quality levels.\nQA/QC reviews of all calculations by Designers, and provide guidance and mentoring.\nDetermine content of drawings and specs for Designers in order to meet the scope of work.\nDevelop and monitor work plans in conjunction with other PM’s.\nReview code related items with Designers and ensure compliance\nManage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.\nWrite studies and reports for systems on projects.\nTechnical experience required includes:\nWriting controls sequences of operations for AHU’s, CHW and HW systems.o Hydronics systems (heating and chilled)\no Variable & constant flow systems.\no CV, VAV, and VVT air systems.\no Exhaust systems\no Domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage systems\no Natural gas piping systems\no Thorough understanding of psychometrics.\no Advanced equipment selection and analysis - chillers, boilers, air terminals, cooling towers, air valves, heap filters, DX equipment and water source heat pumps.\no Thorough understanding of humid climate design risks.\no Thorough understanding of total energy concepts.\n\nWhat your experience looks like\n7+ years in project management/ mechanical design experience.\nMust hold a professional engineering, P.
