Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Intermediate Structural Engineer!\nYour work environment at EXP\nEXP is currently looking for an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our Markham office. While there is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects the primary focus of this position is to assist our design team on structural design for the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nAssist with design of steel, concrete, masonry, and structures including renovations of existing buildings\nProvide direction to the drafting/BIM team independently\nWork with other senior and/or junior engineers collaboratively\nParticipate in design meetings with owner, architect, and other consultants\nParticipate in construction site meetings\nConduct site visits during construction to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract documents\nWhat your experience looks like\nDegree in Structural Engineering from a recognized university\nP. Eng. Licence is required; however, close to obtaining the license will also be considered\nPreferably 3 to 8 years’ experience in structural engineering with a focus on structural analysis and design\nProject Management Experience would be considered an asset\nExperience with NBCC, CSA standards\nField experience on construction sites, conducting general reviews for compliance with drawings and specifications, and writing site reports\nExperience with Etabs, SAFE, SAP and other similar Structural design software\nTeam player with the proven ability to work independently with minimum direction\nHard worker, who is eager and willing to assume responsibility\nCommitment and dedication to client service as well as technical excellence\nDemonstrated and effective communication skills and the ability to handle changing needs while working effectively with diverse groups\nStrategic thinker with the ability to determine what work is required and draw rational conclusions from all available information\nA valid driver’s license is required, and access to a vehicle\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe salary range for this role is between $65K - $100K.
