This role offers the opportunity to design educational, federal and healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, and complex projects across Atlantic Canada and beyond.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nPrepare drawings, specifications, cost estimates and reports for mechanical design projects.\nDesign HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, controls systems, and specialized piping systems (natural gas, fuel oil).\nPerform mechanical calculations for ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing.\nDevelop equipment schedules and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate design.\nConduct energy modeling for LEED, Green Globes, and Green Buildings Initiatives.\nComplete facility condition assessments, feasibility studies, and design briefs.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and respond to internal/external project inquiries.\nWhat your experience looks like\nProfessional Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with APEGNB/Engineers NS or in good standing with another provincial regulator.\n7+ years of experience as Engineer of record in building and industrial design.\nStrong knowledge of Canadian Building Code, ASHRAE, CSA, and NFPA standards.\nProficiency in Revit/BIM; AutoCAD experience is an asset.\nExperience in writing specifications.\nFamiliarity with HAP, and energy modeling tools.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.\nEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
