We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Technologist to join our growing teams in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This role focuses on HVAC and plumbing system design, energy modeling, and coordination for diverse building projects.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nDesign and model HVAC and plumbing systems for construction packages, including plans, schematics, and details.\n\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design clashes and ensure seamless integration.\n\nPerform energy modeling using software such as eQuest and / or HAP.\n\nConduct on-site data collection and reviews.\n\nPrepare labour and material cost estimates.\n\nTravel to project sites as required.\n\nWhat your experience looks like\nMechanical Engineering Technology diploma from a recognized institution.\n\nRegistration as P.Tech or CET (or equivalent).\n\n8+ years of experience in mechanical systems design for building projects.\n\nStrong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes and mechanical engineering practices.\n\nProficiency in Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.\n\nFamiliarity with controls systems (BMS, EMCS, BAS) is an asset.\n\nExperience in commissioning of systems is an asset.\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.\n\nFlexibility to travel for site work.\n\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.\nEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
