Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next MEP Engineering Manager\nYour work environment at EXP\nAs MEP Engineering Manager for the US Central Buildings Group at EXP, you will be based in Chicago and will lead a team of mechanical, electrical plumbing and fire protection engineers across multiple offices.\nThis position requires strong leadership skills, a desire for professional growth, the ability to work as an integral part of the team and a client-centered approach. Prior experience should include experience leading a team of MEP engineers in the successful execution of small-large scale projects. Prior experience with public agencies and alternative delivery projects (CMAR, Design-Build) is required.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nAs MEP Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include:\nDeveloping and managing a “right sized” team of MEP engineers to support projects in a variety of market sectors including Aviation, Rail + Transit, Federal and Higher Education.\nAssigning appropriate MEP resources to projects with respect to project scope, schedule and budget requirements.\nParticipation as an integral part of Building Group leadership in the development of an annual strategic planning for the MEP team.\nParticipation as an integral part of Building Group leadership in coordinating resource management for MEP engineers across EXP sectors. \nCoordination with other EXP offices to balance staffing and project needs.\nParticipation with the leadership team in project pursuits and business development. \nBuilding Group MEP team resource planning and management.\nRecruiting, interviewing and hiring. \nWorking with Building Group leadership to ensure the overall financial performance of the MEP team and to ensure project budgets and schedules are met.\nTechnical leadership, quality control and maintaining EXP’s high standards for technical excellence throughout the MEP team.\nProject Management for projects of varying size, scales and complexity, with multidiscipline participation. \nMaintaining EXP’s client-centered approach.\nConducting annual Performance Reviews and salary reviews for MEP staff.\nDeveloping technical standards and mentoring the development of the MEP engineering team. \nWhat your experience looks like\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering \nRegistered PE\n15+ years of experience\nMust have strong leadership skills and good communication capabilities.\nBuilding design experience is a must\nThe salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
