Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Site Civil Project Engineer!\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role, you will be a part of the Site Civil team based in Chicago, Detroit, St Louis, Columbus, or Dallas with consideration for hybrid work arrangements. The professional will focus on Site Civil/Land Development projects supporting the Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practices nationally. Project types and clients will vary with opportunities to be involved in projects across the United States.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nPrepares engineering analysis, design, and calculations for all aspects of site civil work including but not limited to site access, grading, drainage, utility networks, and erosion control independently or with plan production support. \nCoordinates with clients, government agencies, and other project design leaders across multiple time zones. \nGenerates detailed reports to demonstrate compliance with local design guidelines.\nEmploys a variety of modeling softwares for drainage and water/sewer system design.\nActive in all aspects of construction document preparation and independently making design decisions.\nMaintains involvement with projects during construction as needed to respond to RFIs or make design revisions to accommodate unforeseens identified during construction.\nPrepares scope and fee estimates on portions of projects or change orders or assists with project procurement on occasion. \nWhat your experience looks like\nBS Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.\n4+ years of experience in a Civil Engineering role (site civil/land development experience preferred).\nPE certification required (or ability to obtain within 12 months of start date). \nProficient in CAD via AutoCAD Civil3D.\nProficient in stormwater modeling software such as HEC-HMS, ICPR, SWMM, or similar.\nAbility to work on several projects concurrently.\nExhibits strong verbal and written communication skills.\nDemonstrates the ability to work collaboratively within multi-discipline, remote project teams.\nAbility to plan one’s own time and manage the time of others, as needed.\nAbility to problem solve, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and approach new projects and agencies with sound engineering judgment.\nStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.\nForward-thinking to identify possible technical or schedule constraints at the onset of projects.\nAbility to travel for 1-2 day site inspection/meeting trips (one trip per month or less average).\nThe salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
