Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our nextProject Engineer - Water & Wastewater!\nYour work environment at EXP\nWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the design and coordination of watermains and sanitary sewers using both open-cut and trenchless methods. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, project management, and field experience, with the ability to work independently under the guidance of senior engineers.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nLead and support the design of watermain and sanitary sewer systems, including alignment, profile, and connection details.\nPrepare detailed design reports, drawings, and specifications in accordance with municipal and regulatory standards. \nPerform hydraulic modeling and analysis to support system design and optimization.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage project deliverables, timelines, and budgets.\nConduct site visits, inspections, and reviews of shop drawings to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.\nFacilitate and lead meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.\nSupport proposal development, including scope definition, technical input, and cost estimation.\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations.\nProvide technical guidance to junior staff and contribute to quality assurance processes.\nWhat your experience looks like\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field.\nMinimum of 10 years of professional experience in water resources modeling.\nProficiency in industry-standard modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MIKE, Info Works ICM).\nStrong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, floodplain management, and stormwater systems.\nExperience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and data integration.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is preferred.\nPreferred Skills\nFamiliarity with provincial and federal water management regulations.\nExperience working with municipalities, conservation authorities, or government agencies.\nExperience with climate change impact assessments and resiliency planning.\nKnowledge of scripting or automation tools (Python, MATLAB) for model enhancement. \nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe salary range for this role is between $90K - $125K.
