This position will lead exciting projects across the United States for Hospitality/Luxury Residential, Entertainment, Healthcare and Life Sciences.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nBe able to lead, mentor and direct less experienced mechanical staff on all of their responsibilities.\nPerform at a “responsible charge” level in regard to meeting EXPs design and quality levels.\nPerform QA/QC review of specifications, reports, code application, RFI and submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables and drawings.\nQA/QC reviews of all calculations by designers and provide guidance and mentoring.\nDetermine content of drawings and specs for less experienced staff in order to meet the scope of work.\nReview code related items with Designers and ensure compliance.\nEdit and develop basis of design narratives documenting project scope.\nThorough understanding of psychrometrics.\nUnderstand and apply concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems.\nAdvance equipment selection and analysis - chillers, boilers, air terminals, cooling towers, HEPA filters, DX equipment, and water source heat pumps.\nWrite new specifications sections, develop new details, as required for project needs. \nWrite studies and reports for systems on projects.\nPerform life-cycle cost analyses, and energy/cost calculation for HVAC systems. \nApply and modify appropriate controls diagrams for the project\nModify sequences of operation for air and water side equipment and systems. \nMeets with contractors during bid phase to review design details.\nCritically evaluate contractor pricing and cost estimates.\nEvaluate value engineering items with respect to EXP’s level of risk.\nApply risk management procedures daily to minimize EXP’s and client’s exposure to problems.\nTravel to project sites to review progress of work and successfully solve problems within time & budget\nDevelop and monitor work plans.\nManage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours and guide Designers on management of task hours.\nWhat your experience looks like\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program\n10+ years Mechanical design experience\nRegistered Professional Engineer in State of Denver required. \n7+ years of hospitality facility, Healthcare and Life Sciences or Hospitality design\nThe salary range for this role is $130,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
