Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Senior Bridge Design Engineer\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role you will be a part of the NG Florida team office to support EXP’s transportation infrastructure practice. The selected candidate will focus on highway and railway related structures and bridges. Project types will be diverse and include, but not be limited to, new structures, rehabilitation of existing structures, and inspections and load rating of existing structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls and transit/railway facilities. This position can be located in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando or Tallahassee.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nLead the design and analysis of bridge structures;\nLead the planning and schematic/geometric layout design of new structures;\nPerform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate;\nConduct load rating analysis for bridges;\nPrepare plan drawings and details, construction specifications and design calculations;\nConduct on-site inspection, analysis and condition assessment of existing structures;\nPerform Construction and Life Cycle Cost estimates;\nConstruction phase engineering support including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information;\nAssist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work and be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables.\nServe as Project Manager for projects that primarily involve bridges\nWhat your experience looks like\nMS in Civil Engineering - Structures track required\n15+ years progressively responsible relevant experience\nLicensed PE, SE preferred\nFDOT Design and/or Construction Engineering experience required\nMinimum 5 years experience in complex bridges\nMeets FDOT prequalification requirements for 4.3.2 Complex Bridge Design\nBridge inspection training/certificate preferred\nKnowledge AASHTO and bridge analysis, design and detailing\nKnowledge of structural analysis software including SAP-CSI, AASHTOWare BRD and BrR, LARSA 4D or similar\nProficient with Bentley’s MicroStation® and AutoCAD\nOpen Bridge and Revit experience beneficial\nParametric Modeling experience beneficial\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians\nStrong project management skills and the ability to work in a team
