Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Senior Environmental Professional.\nYour work environment at EXP\nEXP is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join our Environmental team in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of environmental projects throughout Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada, supporting clients with environmental assessment, compliance, permitting, remediation, and environmental management initiatives.\nThe final title and responsibilities will be aligned with the successful candidate’s qualifications, professional designation, and experience.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nLead and support environmental projects from planning and proposal development through execution and completion.\nManage environmental site assessments, remediation programs, monitoring projects, and environmental compliance initiatives.\nPrepare and review technical reports, regulatory submissions, work plans, permit applications, and environmental documentation.\nCoordinate and oversee field programs, including data collection, interpretation, and reporting.\nServe as a point of contact for clients, regulators, contractors, and project stakeholders.\nSupport project delivery by monitoring schedules, budgets, quality, and safety objectives.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and technical specialists to deliver integrated solutions.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate team members.\nAssist with business development activities, including proposal preparation, client relationship management, and identifying new opportunities.\nWhat your experience looks like\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.\nApproximately 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting or industry experience.\nProfessional designation as a P.Eng. or P.Geo. is considered a strong asset and may be required depending on the final scope of the role.\nRegistration with the NLDECC as a Site Professional is considered a strong asset\nExperience with environmental assessments, contaminated sites, remediation projects, environmental monitoring, permitting, or regulatory compliance programs.\nStrong technical writing, project management, and communication skills.\nAbility to build and maintain positive client relationships.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nExperience working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.\nKnowledge of applicable provincial and federal environmental regulations.\nValid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.\nEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
