Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Senior Mechanical Engineer for Civic, Education, Federal, Naval, Transit or commercial buildings.\nYour work environment at EXP\nEXP an award-winning international engineering firm, is currently searching for an experienced Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer to lead projects in Guam and Pacific Islands.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nBe able to direct and mentor Design level staff on all of their responsibilities on a daily basis.\nPerform at a ‘responsible charge’ level of meeting exp’s design and quality levels.\nPerform Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) reviews on specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.\nDevelop Internal lessons learned, best practices and standards. \nProvide meaningful feedback to supervisor on areas of improvement or concern of the team. \nProvide mentoring and guidance to peers and subordinates. \nDetermine content of drawings and specs for Designers in order to meet the scope of work.\nDevelop and monitor work plans in conjunction with other PM’s.\nProject Managers at EXP are the primary liaison between clients and EXP project teams, including subconsultants\nAs Project Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for understanding and negotiating appropriate fees, schedule, and contract terms that are acceptable to the client and beneficial to EXP\nProject Managers are responsible for project performance, including delivering projects within financial and schedule parameters, and for exceeding client expectations\nReview code related items with Designers and ensure compliance\nManage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.\nWrite studies and reports for systems on projects.\nWrite sequences of operations for AHU’s, CHW and HW systems.\nUnderstands and apply concepts of CHW, HW, WSHP, variable & constant flow systems.\nAir side systems - CV, VAV, coil selection, fan selection.\nHydronic Systems - hot, chilled condenser, steam.\nThorough understanding of psychometrics and be able to apply to every project.\nPrepare/Review calculations for loads.\nThorough knowledge of codes.\nEdit specifications to reflect the project requirements.\nSelect and schedule equipment.\nMeet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application.\nCoordinates with other disciplines (MEP/FP, Arch, Struct, etc.).\nRespond to RFI’s for the project and accurately review submittals.\nApply risk management procedures daily to minimize exp’s and client’s exposure to problems.\nUnderstand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work plan.\nUnderstand proper scope of SD, DD, CD level documents - and deliver appropriate documentation.\nWork with PC, PM, and Clients to meet scheduled project milestones of multiple projects.\nEdit and develop scope of work narratives (SD narrative, basis of design, etc.).\nUnderstand and properly provide existing exp details relevant to projects.\nAdvanced equipment selection and analysis - chillers, boilers, air terminals, cooling towers, air valves, heap filters, DX equipment and water source heat pumps.\nThorough understanding of total energy concepts.\nWhat your experience looks like\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering \nRegistered PE in Guam or ability to receive it\n10+ years of experience\nMust have strong leadership skills and good communication capabilities.\nPreferred experience including Civic, Education, Federal, Naval, Transit or commercial buildings\nBuilding design experience is a must\nThe salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
