If you have experience in the building envelope, curtain wall, or fenestration industries, you are looking to be part of a progressive and diverse group of professionals with a passion for building science and restoration, you have demonstrated strong career progression and you are ready to take the next step.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nUnder the direction of the Building Science Director, WC you will:\nLead project teams delivering consulting engineering services to clients\nUndertake building investigations and field reviews for design, repair, and restoration\nMonitor and manage project tasks budgets and schedules\nConduct business development with potential clients\nPrepare proposals and pursue new work\nPrepare building investigation reports and construction documents\nProvide technical advice and guidance to clients and direct project teams\nMentor, coach, and develop employees through daily project work\nManage the contract administration and quality of restoration projects through the construction stage, including contractor performance to ensure project deliverables and standards are met\nCommunicate effectively with clients by keeping them informed of site issues impacting project quality and resolving issues quickly\n\nWhat your experience looks like\nDegree in Engineering / Architecture or a related field \n8-10+ years’ experience in the Building Science industry with:New construction and building envelope restoration\nParking structure condition surveys would be an asset\nWorking as a prime consultant on projects\n\nRegistered with APEGA or AAA\nExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills\nA motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment\nStrong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail\nMust be able to meet project deadlines\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) applications\nOrganized, works well under pressure, able to deal with situations with tact\nA valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required\nLEED Accreditation, PMP would be an asset\nExperience with suspended access equipment (work from heights) an asset\nKnowledge in current energy requirements in building codes and energy modelling\nSome regional travel may be required\nEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
