Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Senior Structural Engineer\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nLead and manage the design and analysis of structural systems including, but not limited to, buildings, miscellaneous structures, equipment foundations, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and lifting devices.\nDevelop and review structural engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.\nPerform structural analysis using advanced software tools to assess the integrity, stability, and load-bearing capacity of structures.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior/intermediate engineers, reviewing their work for accuracy and adherence to design objectives.\nCollaborate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to develop comprehensive structural design solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.\nConduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for remedial action.\nParticipate in project meetings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to address technical challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure seamless project delivery.\nStay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in structural engineering practices, applying them to enhance project efficiency and innovation.\nAssist in the preparation of project proposals, including scope definition and cost estimation, to secure new business opportunities.\nAssist Lead Inspection Engineers on structural inspections of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and overhead sign supports throughout Ontario\nCommunicate effectively (both verbally and written) with internal team members in the development of designs and contract package preparation on transportation structures\nAssist in the review of drawings and associated documentation for compliance with client requirements, organize comments, responses and package submissions for the design and inspection teams\nAssist Engineers in the design and preparation of contract documents, including drawings and calculations, for bridge and transit structures, culverts, and ancillary infrastructure\nApply advanced engineering techniques to solving engineering analysis/design problems\nProvide assistance in the preparation of proposals to various clients\nWhat your experience looks like\nMinimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience \nUniversity degree in Civil Engineering with a structural major\nRegistered engineer with PEO\nProven experience as a Senior Structural Engineer, demonstrating progressive responsibility and successful completion of complex structural projects.\nUnderstanding of carrying out structural designs for various structural elements\nExperience working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering projects with variety in complexity, size and scope is an asset\nPrior experience in biennial or structural inspections of bridges and culverts in accordance with OSIM requirements will be considered an asset\nValid G driver’s license and comfortable driving for extended periods\nIn-depth knowledge of structural analysis and design principles, codes, and regulations.\nUnderstanding that work will combine fieldwork and office/desk activities\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable design practices.\nWillingness to travel as required and attend meetings and field visits to client sites\nKnowledge of the following computer programs is also an asset: MicroStation, AutoCAD, SAP 2000, CSI Bridge, P-Frame/S-Frame, STAAD, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe salary range for this role is between $115K-$140K.
