Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our next Structural Design Intern for buildings projects.\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role, you will be a part of a Building Structures (Aviation, Transit and Mission Critical) focused team and reporting to a Director of Building Structures. The position will be located in the Chicago office.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nFamiliar with a wide variety of structural analysis and design software.\nConduct existing surveys and document the main structural systems and existing connections.\nPerform analysis and design of structural systems for a variety of buildings and materials using building codes.\nAssist in the direction, coordination, planning, and completion of projects with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines. \nWhat your experience looks like\nStudying Structural Engineering from a US accredited university required (Studying towards Master’s degree preferred).\nGood ability at using structural analysis software.\nExperience with existing structures, building modification, and/or restoration a plus.\nProficiency with AutoCAD, is required.\nProficiency in REVIT, is highly preferred.\nProficiency in MS Office suite of programs is required.\nPositive team player.\nSelf-motivated to meet deadlines\nAbility to prioritize tasks, meets deadlines, and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nDesign and analysis experience in reinforced concrete, masonry, and steel.\nThe hourly range for this role is $34 to $35. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location.
