Together, we are EXP.\nAre you ready to design your future?\nBe our nextTransportation Engineering Trainee!\nYour work environment at EXP\nIn this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, of the Transportation and Infrastructure sector, based in London, Hamilton, or Brampton, ON office and have the opportunity to work on various Civil/Municipal projects.\nWhat a day at EXP has in store for you\nPrepare preliminary Civil / Municipal design and coordination including Extensive CAD and Engineering Design support.\nFormulate quantity take-offs for construction cost estimates.\nDevelop and compile specifications and tender packages.\nConduct field visits during the design development and construction process.\nCoordinate project drawings with designers, project managers, CAD staff, and others.\nContribute to proposal development (preparing schedules, conducting project research, preparing cost estimates).\nEnsure that the needs of the project are met in a timely and effective manner.Occasionally, may need to conduct site inspections and contract administration duties.\n\nWhat your experience looks like\nDegree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.\n1 to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Ontario consulting engineering firm.\nFamiliarity with Municipal, Provincial, and Federal Standards.\nExperience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with Municipal and MTO transportation infrastructure projects.\nComputer software skills including AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Word, Excel & MS.\nFamiliarity with various Municipal & Provincial design and drafting standards.\nAn ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.\nGood oral and written communication skills.\nOrganized and motivated team player.\nFamiliar with preparing tender documents and specifications packages is an asset.\nFamiliarity with Environmental Assessment requirements and processes is an asset.\nThis job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.\nThe salary range for this role is between $62K - $82.1K.
