Join us and build for travelers everywhere.\nDirector, Global Mobility & Immigration \n\nIntroduction to the Team\nOur Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.\nThe Global Mobility and Immigration team helps Expedia Group hire, move, and support talent across borders. This role partners with leaders across People & Places, Legal, Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and the business to enable workforce mobility while balancing employee experience, operational effectiveness, compliance, and business needs.\nMake an impact!\nAs Director, Global Mobility and Immigration, you will set the strategy and lead the evolution of programs that support international hiring, employee relocation, work authorization, and workforce mobility. You will modernize scalable, data-informed solutions and advise senior leaders on how mobility can enable business growth, talent deployment, market entry, organizational change, and an inclusive employee experience.\nWhat You'll Do:\nStrategic Leadership & Business Partnership\nLead and develop a global team of mobility and immigration professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and partnership. \nDevelop and execute Expedia Group's global mobility and immigration strategy in alignment with business priorities, workforce planning, and talent acquisition objectives. \nServe as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on workforce mobility, international hiring, talent deployment, and emerging mobility trends. \nPartner with stakeholders across People, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition to ensure mobility programs support evolving organizational needs. \nEvaluate workforce mobility implications associated with business expansion, organizational redesign, acquisitions, and new employment models. \nDesign scalable mobility solutions that support business growth while maintaining a strong focus on employee experience and compliance. \nSupport the mobility infrastructure required for new market entry, entity establishment, and organizational integration initiatives. \nProgram Leadership & Operations\nOwn the global mobility and immigration policy framework, including governance, risk management, and program design. \nLead global immigration and mobility programs, including work authorization, visa sponsorship, permanent residence support, and relocation services. \nEstablish governance frameworks that ensure consistent delivery, operational efficiency, and policy compliance. \nReview and adapt mobility policies to ensure competitiveness, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. \nDrive program effectiveness through continuous process improvement and service optimization. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with employee movement across jurisdictions. \nVendor Management\nOversee relationships with immigration, relocation, and mobility service providers. \nLead vendor selection, contract negotiations, service-level management, and performance reviews. \nConduct RFP processes and implement solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and employee experience. \nEnsure vendor partnerships deliver scalable support aligned with Expedia Group's global workforce needs. \nTechnology, Analytics & Innovation\nChampion the use of technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to enhance mobility and immigration operations. \nDevelop analytics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities that provide insights into program performance, workforce trends, service levels, and costs. \nEstablish key performance indicators and governance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement. \nLeverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and optimize program outcomes. \nExplore innovative approaches to improve employee experience and operational scalability. \nQualifications:\n10+ years of progressive experience leading global mobility, immigration, relocation, or workforce mobility programs within complex multinational organizations. \nDemonstrated success transforming mobility functions into strategic business enablers that support hiring, retention, workforce planning, and location strategy. \nStrong understanding of global immigration processes, workforce mobility compliance requirements, payroll considerations, and regulatory frameworks. \nProven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders across HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition. \nStrong track record of driving operational excellence, program transformation, change management, and service delivery improvements. \nExperience managing global vendor ecosystems and complex stakeholder relationships. \nPreferred\nExperience supporting a publicly traded global organization. \nDemonstrated ability to influence geographically dispersed stakeholders across multiple regions. \nExperience building and scaling global programs during periods of organizational growth and transformation. \nPlease note this role is only available in Seattle and aligned to our flexible hybrid policy, requiring three days a week in office.\nThe total cash range for this position in Seattle is $207,500.00 to $290,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $332,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.\nStarting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
