We support complex travel products around the world, built for everyone from seasoned business travelers to people leaving on their first trip away from home.\nAs an Mobile Engineer II-iOS on the Modern Checkout team, you'll work with global stakeholders to help millions of people set out on great adventures, visit home, and stay connected across their hometown and around the world.\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop and maintain engaging, high-performance iOS applications used by millions of people, using Swift and SwiftUI\n\nWork with a modern, server-driven UI framework that delivers rapid updates to users (even if they haven't run an App Store update in a while), and still builds on native platform capabilities\n\nIntegrate mobile applications with GraphQL backend services, with the opportunity to work on those services\n\nWork with top-tier AI tools to automate away the boring parts of the work and focus on creative problem-solving for tough problems\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams-including product, design, and backend engineers-to deliver cohesive and scalable traveler experiences\n\nParticipate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions across a robust worldwide community of mobile and platform engineers to ensure best practices and maintainability\n\nContribute to CI/CD improvements, automated testing, and performance optimization for mobile applications\n\nIdentify and implement technical improvements that enhance reliability, accessibility, and customer satisfaction\n\nStay current with iOS development trends and help guide adoption of new technologies and frameworks\n\nMinimum qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience\n\n2+ years of professional experience developing and shipping iOS applications using Swift\n\nExperience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and mobile networking.\n\nProficient in version control (Git) and working within Scrum or Kanban agile environments\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience developing and releasing apps at scale, including App Store submission and release processes\n\nExperience with GraphQL APIs and server-driven UI frameworks\n\nExperience working in AI-assisted development environments\n\nExperience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or Node.js\n\nFamiliarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) systems and mobile testing frameworks\n\nStrong understanding of performance tuning, accessibility, and analytics for mobile apps\n\nDemonstrated ability to partner effectively across disciplines to deliver customer-focused features\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving the traveler experience\n\nEnthusiasm for experimentation, learning, and building great products in a collaborative environment\n\nNo relocation assistance offered\nPlease note that this role is only available in the following locations: Seattle in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.\nThe total cash range for this position in Seattle is $119,000.00 to $166,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $190,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.\nStarting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
