Central to this work is our Gross Profit team, which sits within Marketing and manages the metric used to understand the financial value of bookings and evaluate returns on investments. We bring together financial expertise, analytics and technology to make Gross Profit accurate, transparent and actionable across brands, markets and channels. Working closely with Brands and Channel Finance, Marketing, Pricing and Data teams, we turn complex financial information into insights that guide investment and support profitable growth. Being a part of this team offers the opportunity to shape a business-critical metric and influence decisions across Expedia Group.\nExperience and Qualifications:\n8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree\n6+ years of relevant experience with a master's degree\nBachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent practical experience.\nFamiliarity with, or willingness to learn and use, financial systems such as Oracle EPM Cloud and SQL, as well as program management tools such as Jira and Confluence.\nExperience with forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and business-case development.\nUnderstanding of P&L drivers and driver analysis to identify opportunities and drive outcomes in complex and ambiguous environments.\nAbility to build data-quality checks and accuracy controls.\nExperience with cross-functional stakeholder management, process improvement, and translating analytical results into financial impact.\nIn this role, you will:\nOwnership - Lead gross profit and pricing program initiatives from end to end, including scope definition, road-map and milestone development, risk management, and stakeholder communications. Develop a deep understanding of the organization's business models and operations, and use that knowledge to drive projects and analyses that support program goals. Apply an advanced understanding of the processes and information that affect the organization and its stakeholders to plan and guide each step of complex programs.\nFinancial Modeling and Impact Analysis - Develop financial models ranging from basic to complex, including forecasts and advanced analyses. Define requirements in ambiguous situations and apply a clear understanding of the financial impact of decisions and solutions to drive projects and analyses that support the organization's mission.\nSimplicity and Quality - Drive simplicity and implement improvements that enhance the quality of products and processes. Modify reports and tools to improve operational efficiency. Continuously expand and refine the team's reporting suite and tool repository to provide the team and stakeholders with a clearer, shared understanding of business performance.\nContinuous Improvement and Clarity - Monitor team processes and recommend improvements. Build controls and checks to validate the accuracy of data and reporting. Apply a thorough understanding of current business processes and challenges to identify strategic issues and recommend solutions that address each stakeholder's unique needs and objectives.\nSystems Expertise and Data Integrity - Apply deep knowledge of the organization's financial systems, databases, and management reporting tools. Audit outputs to confirm the accuracy of data and analytics, and ensure the efficient execution and effective delivery of work.\nThe total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.\nStarting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
