As part of our team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and user-centric applications that directly support national security objectives.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Full Stack Engineer, you will work across the entire technology stack to deliver high-impact capabilities:\nDesign and develop end-to-end features spanning front-end interfaces and backend services \nBuild and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks \nDevelop scalable backend systems and APIs using Python and cloud-native architectures \nIntegrate frontend components with backend services via RESTful APIs and streaming/data services \nDeploy and manage applications in AWS environments using Docker and Kubernetes \nCollaborate in an Agile development environment, contributing to sprint planning, design discussions, and continuous improvement \nWork directly with end users to understand mission needs and translate them into technical solutions \nEnsure performance, scalability, security, and reliability across the stack \nActively collaborate with teammates in design discussions and pair programming \nWrite clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage (unit, integration, and end-to-end) \nParticipate in code reviews, establish best practices, and contribute to engineering standards \nRequired Qualifications\nU.S. Citizenship \nActive TS/SCI clearance \n5+ years of professional software engineering experience across front-end, back-end, or full stack development \nExperience building applications in AWS cloud environments \nProficiency in: Frontend: React, Angular, Vue, or similar (TypeScript preferred) \n Backend: Python (preferred) or other object-oriented languages \n\nExperience with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems \nFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerized environments \nExperience with relational databases and query optimization \nStrong understanding of software development best practices and SDLC \nExperience with Git and branching strategies \nComfortable working in Linux-based environments \nPreferred / Nice-to-Have\nExperience with modern frontend tools (e.g., TailwindCSS, React Query, Vite, MUI) \nFamiliarity with GraphQL and real-time data applications \nExperience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, EC2, SQS) \nKnowledge of performance optimization techniques (frontend or backend) \nExposure to AI/ML systems or data pipelines at scale \nExperience contributing to technical leadership, mentoring, or architecture decisions \nWho is Expedition Technology?\nExpedition Technology (EXP) designs, develops, and delivers innovative solutions with national impact for the defense and intelligence communities.
