You will operate at the intersection of execution excellence, people development, and program financial performance, helping teams transform ambitious technical ideas into capabilities that matter for national security missions.\nThis role is ideal for leaders who enjoy developing people, solving organizational challenges, improving execution, and building healthy, high-performing teams.\nWhat You'll Do\nDrive Execution Excellence \nOversee a portfolio of advanced technology programs across computer vision, signal processing, AI/ML, software, and related mission areas. \nEnsure programs meet customer commitments, technical objectives, schedules, and budgets. \nIdentify risks early and help teams remove obstacles before they become major problems. \nPartner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, technical leads, and program leaders to continuously improve delivery performance. \nFoster transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision making across your operation. \nLead People and Develop Leaders \nServe as the primary organizational leader for approximately 20-30 engineers and mission staff. \nSupport employee growth through coaching, feedback, recognition, career development, and promotion discussions. \nDevelop the next generation of technical, program, and organizational leaders. \nHelp create a culture where talented people can do their best work while continuing to grow professionally. \nPartner with coaches, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and technical leaders to support employee success. \nOwn Program Financial Performance \nPartner with program leaders, Project Control, Finance, and Mission Leads to understand and improve program financial performance. \nMaintain visibility into revenue, margin, staffing, forecasting, and delivery trends across your portfolio. \nHelp teams understand the relationship between program decisions, customer outcomes, and business results. \nBalance financial discipline with technical excellence, customer success, and employee development. \nBuild and Sustain Great Teams \nWork with Mission Leads, Talent Acquisition, and technical leaders to ensure the right people are working on the right problems. \nParticipate actively in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. \nAnticipate staffing needs and help shape workforce plans that support both current execution and future growth. \nStrengthen collaboration across teams, programs, and mission areas. \nContribute to the long-term health and effectiveness of the organization. \nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired \nActive TS/SCI clearance. \nDemonstrated success leading technical teams, programs, or organizations. \nExperience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community customers. \nExperience managing program execution involving cost, schedule, staffing, risk, and customer commitments. \nExperience developing employees, leaders, and high-performing teams. \nFinancial acumen, including experience with budgets, resource planning, forecasting, or program financial management. \nTechnical fluency in one or more relevant areas, including computer vision, signal processing, AI/ML, software engineering, sensor systems, or data platforms. \nStrong communication, coaching, and organizational leadership skills. \nBachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, business, or related discipline. \nPreferred \nExperience leading multiple programs or teams simultaneously. \nExperience managing organizations of approximately 20-30 technical staff. \nExperience with applied AI/ML, computer vision, RF or signal processing, autonomous systems, or advanced software systems. \nExperience recruiting, hiring, and developing technical employees. \nExperience leading Agile teams and organizations. \nAdvanced degree in a technical, scientific, or business discipline. \nWho is Expedition Technology?\nExpedition Technology (EXP) designs, develops, and delivers innovative solutions with national impact for the defense and intelligence communities.
