Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, international agents, carriers and service providers, managing shipment documentation and milestones, tracking shipments, processing invoices and ensuring compliance with customer and operational requirements.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCollaborate within a dynamic team environment to ensure the smooth and timely processing of ocean import and export shipments\nCoordinate with customers, international agents, carriers and service providers to arrange transportation and ensure shipments are processed efficiently from origin through to destination\nWork closely with internal departments, including Customer Service, Cartage and Accounting, to facilitate the smooth handling of import and export shipments and resolve operational issues\nManage and monitor Ocean Import and Export files, ensuring shipment milestones, documentation and shipping details are accurate and kept up to date in the system\nTrack and trace shipments using internal systems and external resources, proactively following up on delays, exceptions and outstanding information\nPrepare, review and process relevant import and export shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion\nUtilise workflow monitors and reporting tools to effectively manage daily shipments, priorities and outstanding tasks\nAdhere to customer and company standard operating procedures, escalating or updating changes as required under the guidance of the Supervisor/Manager\nMaintain effective communication with customers, overseas offices, agents, carriers and service providers, ensuring timely responses to emails and requests\nProcess and reconcile service provider invoices and charges promptly and accurately to support the uninterrupted flow of shipments\nProvide timely shipment updates and respond to customer enquiries, working to resolve issues and maintain a high level of customer service\nParticipate in team meetings, training sessions and performance reviews, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing work environment\n Experience in ocean import and/or export operations within the freight forwarding industry\nStrong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines\nAbility to prioritise and manage multiple shipments and tasks at the same time\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy when processing shipping information and documentation\nA strong customer service focus, with the ability to respond to enquiries, resolve issues promptly and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers and service providers\nWillingness to learn and develop knowledge across both ocean import and export operations\nFull and unrestricted working rights in Australia\n Employee Health: You and your health are important;
