We have an amazing team of 25,200 people in 32 countries.\n We are looking for a Product Manager to own our Open Banking products and our transaction categorisation engine in the UK business. These capabilities sit at the heart of how our clients assess affordability. You will focus on ensuring accurate categorisation and stronger commercial performance.\nReporting into the Head of Product Management, you will work with development teams in the UK and India, partner with clients and internal stakeholders and accountable for the measurable performance of the products you own.\nMain Responsibilities\nProduct Strategy\nManage the roadmap for our Open Banking proposition and the categorisation engine\nPrioritise a backlog of features and improvements, balancing client value, technical feasibility and commercial return.\nDefine and communicate clear release goals with measurable success criteria.\nPosition these capabilities within the wider affordability proposition, so they strengthen the products they feed.\nProduct Optimisation & Performance\nLead the end-to-end performance of the Open Banking journey - consent conversion, bank coverage and availability, step-by-step drop-off, and time to decision.\nImprove categorisation quality - classification accuracy, additional account types, coverage of edge cases, merchant identification, and the derivation of income and expenditure.\nEstablish dashboards and reports needed to see how the products actually perform, for us and for each client.\nRun a regular optimisation cadence, using experimentation (for example A/B or champion-challenger testing) to prove improvements rather than assume them.\nCreate a feedback loop that turns client-reported misclassifications, analyst findings and support themes into a prioritised improvement backlog.\nBalance accuracy and journey improvements against processing cost and cost to serve.\nClient Relationship Management & Discovery\nBe a trusted advisor to clients and a primary product contact across the account lifecycle.\nRun regular client engagement - including roadmap reviews and performance reviews - to maintain agreement and promote confidence in the product.\nLead structured discovery sessions\nTranslate qualitative client insight into well-scoped product requirements and user stories.\nCommercial & P&L Awareness\nDevelop a working understanding of the product P&L - revenue, cost and margin drivers, including the unit economics of Open Banking data calls.\nDevelop business cases for new features and investments.\nPartner with commercial and pricing teams to shape packaging, pricing and go-to-market for new capabilities.\nTrack adoption, usage and commercial performance, using the data to demonstrate value to clients.\nStakeholder & Regulatory Engagement\nCommunicate roadmap progress and product decisions to senior internal stakeholders.\nWork with compliance, legal and risk functions to ensure the product meets regulatory requirements, including AISP permissions, consent, and data use and retention obligations.\nSupport responses to regulatory and industry requests, and stay informed of changes to Open Banking standards and affordability expectations.\nDomain & Technical Fluency\nMaintain a working knowledge of Open Banking - AISP models, API standards, consent and authentication flows, bank coverage and data quality.\nMaintain a working knowledge of transaction categorisation - rules-based and ML-based classification, transaction enrichment, and income and expenditure derivation.\nEngage with engineers, data scientists and QA to review technical approaches and understand trade-offs.\nBe comfortable interrogating data directly to understand product behaviour and build the case for change.\n Experience as a Product Manager within a financial services or FinTech environment.\nProven experience optimising live products using data - identifying where performance is lost and improving it measurably.\nClient-facing experience, with experience building trusted relationships.\nCommercial experience, building business cases and a basic understanding of P&L and pricing.\nExperience working with distributed or offshore development teams.\nComfortable operating in evolving product contexts with rapid iteration.\nExperience of a regulated environment working alongside compliance, legal and risk.\nExperience drawing relevant insights from data to support decisions.\nExperience of Open Banking journeys, transaction categorisation or data enrichment is highly advantageous.\nWider affordability, lending or credit risk domain experience is advantageous.\n Additional Information\nHybrid working, 2 days a week in our Nottingham office\nGreat compensation package and discretionary bonus\nCore benefits include pension, bupa healthcare, sharesave scheme and more\n25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days.
