Our Head office is located in Brampton, Ontario.\nRole Summary\nThe Shipping & Receiving Coordinator supports the daily operations of the seafood warehouse, with responsibilities spanning shipping, receiving, inventory control, order preparation, documentation, and coordination of warehouse personnel, including temporary workers. This is a hands-on position that combines administrative duties with active involvement in warehouse activities, including product handling, palletizing, labelling, and shipment preparation. The role requires solid warehouse experience and the ability to provide direction and coordinate temporary staff to maintain productivity and efficient daily operations, while ensuring product quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards are upheld.\nResponsibilities\nCoordinate and support daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow.\nOversee and participate in the handling, movement, storage, and preparation of fresh seafood products.\nCoordinate palletization, order staging, labelling, and shipment preparation to ensure orders are ready for dispatch.\nMaintain shipping and receiving schedules and support inbound and outbound logistics activities.\nCoordinate temporary workers, assigning and communicating tasks to support productivity and operational efficiency.\nMonitor inventory levels, complete inventory transactions, and maintain accurate inventory records.\nCreate and maintain sales orders, invoices, packing lists, productivity reports, and other shipping and receiving documentation.\nWork closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to resolve order-related issues and support timely order fulfillment.\nEnsure proper product handling, temperature control, and adherence to product quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).\nAssist with quality control activities, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nIdentify and escalate operational, product quality, and workplace safety concerns as required.\nFollow all company policies, procedures, food safety requirements, and workplace health and safety standards.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications/Skills\nSeveral years of warehouse, shipping and receiving, or logistics experience, preferably within the food industry.\nPrevious experience supervising, leading, or coordinating temporary or warehouse staff, with the ability to assign tasks, provide direction, and monitor productivity.\nExperience in inventory control and order fulfillment is an asset.\nERP system experience is an asset.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.\nGood communication and coordination skills, including the ability to provide direction to temporary workers.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.\nAbility to lift, move, and handle products safely and perform physical work throughout the day.\nComfortable working in refrigerated cooler and freezer environments.\nFlexible and dependable, with the ability to work weekends, overtime, and varying hours based on business needs.\nThis position is based in a food production plant, with work performed on the processing floor. The environment may be cool (18°C or lower), damp, and involve exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.
