Extendicare offers rewarding and meaningful work where you can enrich your life and the lives of others.\nThis position is for our Oakview Place Home, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.\nAvailable opportunities include Casual; Day/Evening shifts.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nServes food to residents according to individual diets and preferences. Observes time limits for meal serving. Maintains foods at proper serving temperature. \nAssists Cooks to clean and prepare such uncooked food as salads, vegetables, and fruits. Follow basic instructions in preparing such simple foods as breakfast items, basic desserts, and garnishes. \nClears plates and trays, loads, and operates dishwasher. Cleans pots, pans, and cooking utensils as per procedure. \nParticipates in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers. \nAdheres to established departmental policies, procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment, and infection control. \nAssemble nourishment carts. Stocks unit kitchenettes. \nParticipates in facility meetings as assigned.
