Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment\nWhat we are looking for:\nWorkday Financial System Support & Configuration\nSupport the month-end and quarter-end close activities in Workday\nAssist with configuration and maintenance of the Workday Financial Management system to ensure seamless operation and integration of financial processes\nTroubleshoot Workday finance module issues\nParticipate in system testing, configuration changes, and enhancements; document financial processes and maintain process documentation\nDrive data quality and governance across financial master data (chart of accounts, suppliers, customers, spend categories)\nCreate and maintain security roles, business process configurations, and approval workflows\nMaintain and design Workday financial business processes to support operational requirements and system enhancements\nIdentify opportunities for process automation and system optimization\nData Management & Compliance\nPerform regular data quality audits and document findings\nSupport ICFR and audit committee requirements\nMaintain audit trails and transaction documentation; prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with the Finance teams, Operations, IT, and HR teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored financial solutions\nCommunicate technical requirements and system limitations to non-technical stakeholders\nProvide ongoing support and training to finance team members on Workday functionalities and best practices\nParticipate in Workday enhancement projects and system upgrades\nWhat you will bring to the role:\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field\n3-5 years in financial accounting, operations finance, or general ledger management\n2+ years working with Workday or other enterprise financial systems\n1-2 years experience working with large datasets using Excel or other database applications\nWorking knowledge of Workday Finance modules including Core Financials (GL, Journal Entries, Accounting Rules), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Banking & Settlement, and Business Assets\nDemonstrated ability to understand GL structure, account hierarchies, and the financial close process\nAdvanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, data validation, formulas, data analysis)\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities\nAbility to work with large-scale enterprise reporting systems\nExcellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities\nAbility to meet tight month-end/quarter-end close deadlines\nAbility to work independently and proactively ask clarifying questions\nLearning agility and willingness to develop technical skills (Workday, SQL)\nWorkday Financials certification or active engagement with Workday training\nCPA or equivalent - an asset\nExperience with prior ERP system implementations or migrations\nKnowledge of ICFR (Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting)\nExposure to consolidation processes or intercompany transactions\nVBA, SQL, or Power BI DAX programming knowledge\nAt Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
