Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.\nKey responsibilities include:\nSupport the annual budgeting process, including preparation, monthly forecasting, and budget-to-actual variance analysis with clear explanations in collaboration with operations \nPrepare and deliver management reporting packages, including standard and recurring reports, KPIs, and insightful commentary for strategic analysis \nPartner with Finance Business Partners and operational teams to generate insights, interpret financial results, and support data-driven decision-making (e.g., staffing, capex, operational initiatives) \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with business unit leaders, including district directors, operation and clinical leadership \nEnsure compliance with Extendicare’s accounting systems and procedures, and support resolution of field-related financial issues \nDrive process improvements and efficiencies leveraging financial and business expertise \nCoach and support Financial Analysts, and contribute to special projects as required \nPresent financial insights to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner \nComplete other duties as assigned \nWhat we’re looking for:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.\n3-5 years experience in operations finance and/or accounting related role \nCPA certification or near completion.\nAdvance Excel skills.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast pace environment \nAccounting experience with large-scale Enterprise Reporting systems, knowledge of Workday preferred \nWhat Extendicare has to offer:\nAt Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
