Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.\nKey responsibilities include:\nOwn the month-end process for balance sheet and P&L accounts\nExecute on period end close activities such as accruals, deferrals, prepaids, receivables as assigned\nDemonstrate accounting expertise by preparing and maintaining complex reconciliations\nPrepare period end reports and provide commentary on balance sheet variances\nCollaborate with business stakeholders and other finance team members\nPrepare responses to external auditor requests\nDrive finance process improvement by applying a fresh perspective and creative problem solving\nOther ad-hoc analysis and duties as assigned\nWhat we’re looking for:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.\n3-5 years’ experience in operations finance and/or accounting related role\nCPA designation completed (or final stage)\nAdvance Excel skills.\nExperience in identifying, investigating, analyzing, and reporting variances.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAccounting experience with large-scale Enterprise Reporting systems, knowledge of Workday preferred\nWhat Extendicare has to offer:\nAt Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
