Partnering closely with Regional Directors, Home leadership teams, and business stakeholders, this role leads recruitment efforts from sourcing through offer, builds proactive talent pipelines, and supports the implementation of consistent recruitment practices across the organization. The successful candidate will bring strong stakeholder management skills, healthcare recruitment expertise, and a passion for delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.\nThis position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of Long-Term Care homes, from intake and sourcing through offer and onboarding support. \nPartner with hiring leaders and Regional Directors to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies aligned with business needs. \nSource and engage active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, networking, referrals, and other innovative sourcing channels. \nProvide strategic recruitment guidance and labour market insights to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. \nScreen, assess, and interview candidates to evaluate skills, experience, and organizational fit. \nBuild and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions across the business. \nSupport the implementation and adoption of standardized recruitment processes and best practices. \nRepresent Extendicare at career fairs, networking events, educational institutions, and community recruitment initiatives. \nMaintain accurate candidate and recruitment data within the applicant tracking system and provide reporting as required. \nComplete other duties as assigned. \nWhat we’re looking for:\nPost-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. \nMinimum 3-5 years of progressive full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably within healthcare, long-term care, home care, or other high-volume environments. \nDemonstrated experience proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, direct outreach, networking, and Boolean search techniques. \nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, advise, and build credibility with leaders at all levels. \nExperience managing multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nExcellent communication, relationship-building, and consultation skills. \nExperience supporting recruitment process improvements and driving consistency across teams. \nKnowledge of the long-term care, healthcare, or seniors' services sector is considered an asset.\nWhat Extendicare has to offer:\nAt Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
