If this sounds like a place you’d like to spend the next chapter of your career, we’d love to hear from you. \nPosition Summary\nThe Payroll Associate ensures timely and accurate payroll processing and assists with payroll-related reporting and compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess semi-monthly payroll for U.S. (multi-state), Canada, and international employees, ensuring compliance with country, federal, and state regulations.\nReview and verify timesheets, earnings, and deductions.\nRespond to and support employees on payroll inquiries, providing clear explanations and resolving issues promptly.\nCollaborate with the HR department to process new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments.\nMaintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy.\nPrepare payroll reconciliations for benefits.\nEnsure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.\nAssist with special payroll projects, including year-end reporting, system upgrades, and process improvements.\nPrepare month-end reconciliations of payroll-related general ledger accounts in our accounting system to the payroll system.\nIdentify and explain variances in payroll accounts month to month & quarter to quarter \nResponsible for keeping payroll policies and flowcharts current \nGenerate and analyze payroll reports to support finance, tax filings, and compliance audits.\nLead in year-end payroll activities, including the preparation and distribution of W-2s or other tax forms as well as year-end reconciliations.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate’s degree or 2+ years of payroll experience.\nWorking knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.\nExperience with payroll systems such as UKG.\nExperience processing multi-state, Canadian, or international payroll is a plus. \nSkills and Competencies\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.\nIn-depth understanding of payroll processes.\nAbility to process accurate data while meeting deadlines.\nAbility to handle confidential information.\nAbility to communicate effectively with employees, HR, Finance, and external agencies. \nStrong Excel skills.\nCompensation & Benefits: The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based discretionary bonus and stock option grants.
