Director of Data Science - AI / ML

As Director - Data Science AI/ML, you will lead data science and advanced analytics initiatives across Exxat. This role focuses on enabling business impact through analytics, experimentation, and machine learning while building strong teams and scalable data capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the organisation's AI and machine learning strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered products and intelligent solutions.
• Drive business impact by leveraging AI to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to identify and prioritise AI use cases.
• Build, mentor, and manage high-performing AI and data science teams.
• Establish AI best practices, governance, and a culture of innovation across the organisation.
• Oversee the AI platform and ensure scalable, reliable deployment of AI solutions in collaboration with technology teams.
• Communicate AI vision, business outcomes, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or related leadership roles.
• Mandatory experience working in SaaS product companies.
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and data-driven product development.
• Proven experience leading AI initiatives from strategy through implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen.
• Demonstrated leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
