This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and collaboration skills. You will be responsible for developing and supporting applications that serve ExxonMobil’s Upstream business.\nWhat you will do\nThe Full- stack Software Developer - Advanced independently delivers functionality across the full application stack, including robust frontend interfaces, backend services, and the supporting cloud infrastructure. This role applies strong understanding of modern UI frameworks, API design, authentication flows, and containerized or cloud- native hosting environments such as Microsoft Azure. Advanced developers design and implement complex features, refactor legacy components, optimize application performance, and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems. They are trusted to serve as the technical lead for complex applications, driving solution design, ensuring adherence to software development best practices, and coordinating contributions from other developers.\nJob Role Responsibilities\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and develop robust, scalable software solutions aligned with business needs. \nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into working software.\nEnsure adherence to software engineering best practices including OOAD, SOLID principles, testing, and automation.\nWork independently across time zones and effectively collaborate with global teams.\nMaintain high standards of code quality, performance, scalability, and security.\nExperience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).\nAbout You\nSkills and Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nMinimum 6 years of hands-on software development experience.\nMinimum 2 years of front-end development using Angular or React.\nMinimum 2 years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.\nMinimum 3 years of back-end development using C#, ASP.NET Core (Web Apps, APIs).\nMinimum 2 years of experience with .NET framework.\nMinimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud development.\nProficiency with Git and CI/CD pipeline configuration using Azure DevOps (ADO) or GitHub.\nExperience with SQL Server and writing optimized queries\nFamiliarity with modern authentication and authorization using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).\nStrong understanding of system design, microservices, monolithic architectures, and serverless computing.\nAbility to debug and profile desktop and web applications to resolve bugs and performance issues.\nPreferred Qualifications/ Experience\nExperience with Python or willingness to upskill.\nExposure to Oil & Gas industry and geoscience applications like Petrel or RokDoc.\nExperience with Docker, OpenShift, and Snowflake.\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Spotfire.\nYour benefits\nAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
