They are responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining our sites by providing stable, secure, and scalable platforms. The core focus of Branch Systems are automation and observability platforms that provide the foundation for Site Reliability Engineering practices.\nWhat you will do\nResponsible for building and maintaining network systems for employee usage. These systems include technologies such as Network Virtualization, SD-WAN, Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), intranets, and extranets.\nThe role requires strong skills in designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure. Must stay current with the latest developments in network technologies and best practices.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInfrastructure Reliability: Maintain and optimize network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.\nAutomation Development: Design, implement, and manage automation workflows for tasks such as device onboarding, configuration compliance, and auto-remediation.\nMonitoring & Alerting: Develop and maintain/integrate monitoring systems to detect anomalies, enforce compliance, and trigger automated responses.\nCompliance & Security: Ensure network devices adhere to security and configuration standards through automated checks and remediation.\nContinuous Improvement: Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for automation and reliability enhancements.\nAbout you\nSkills and Qualifications\nUniversity degree with emphasis in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Network or a closely related field with course work in technology-related subjects\n5+ years proven experience in network design, deployment & automation.\nMandatory - Skilled in network automation, with hands-on experience using tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform, supported by strong coding capabilities.\nMandatory - Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git, for managing infrastructure-as-code and automation scripts.\nMandatory - Observability: Experience with observability and logging tools to track system health and performance, familiarity with SRE, SLO/SLIs, Golden Signals, MELT, USE method. Preference for experience with Datadog\nProficient in network deployments, including routing and switching; experience with wireless and firewall technologies is a plus.\nStrong network knowledge (Cisco/Juniper) - LAN and WAN network equipment and environments, analysis, routing, switching, wireless will be beneficial.\nStrong knowledge of BGP protocol and routing will be beneficial.\nStrong knowledge in network transport VSAT, MAN, MPLS/IPVPN technology and network management QoS features, DNS, DHCP, SNMP will be beneficial.\nProven expertise in global network design and implementation of advanced network technologies will be beneficial.\nPreferred Qualifications/ Experience\n\nGood written and oral communication skills; ability to discuss technical issues with all levels of personnel globally\nStrong, self-initiative and self-motivated\nFlexibility in schedule for working with a global team\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills with a diversified skill set\nStrong work ethic, interpersonal and team-building orientations\nAdaptability to time pressures & changing priorities\nGood customer service skills\nProcess oriented\nYour benefits\nAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
