In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing offshore transportation and installation activities to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, to the required quality standards, on time and within budget.\nPrimary Job Functions\nImplement project management processes in accordance with company requirements\nDemonstrate SSHE leadership behaviors, actively participate in SSHE programs, reviews, and inspections\nEnsure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and project requirements\nDrive project performance by collaborating effectively with multi-disciplinary teams\nDevelop/evaluate fundamental transportation and installation (T&I) execution approach/equipment\nProvide technical input to scope of work and Installation specifications for tender packages\nProvide technical input to tender evaluation exercise\nCoordinate internal/external interfaces with project management team, advisors, discipline engineers / contractor\nParticipate in design reviews, constructability reviews, risk assessments and quality assurance activities\nReview and approve installation procedures and contractor studies\nSteward Marine Warranty Surveyor review and approval of T&I plans and procedures\nDevelop T&I surveillance plans with Operations' input\nProvide technical support as needed to vessel team(s) during offshore execution\nImplement lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement processes\nMaintain accurate project records and documentation\nJob Requirements\nTechnical Skills:\n5 - 13 years of prior installation engineering experience\nBachelor’s degree in engineering with GPA 3.5 or above\nStrong understanding of projects & project management\nKnowledge of industry codes, standards and regulatory requirements\nKnowledge of offshore transportation and installation equipment and methods\nAnalytical Skills:\nAbility to understand complex technical documents, drawings, etc.\nStrong problem-solving skills to address project challenges\nBehavioral Skills:\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nWilling to travel to project sites (e.g. offshore), when needed\nGeographically mobile; willing to travel and relocate globally\nJob Group Capability\nProjects\nJob Group\nProject Management\nJob Role Description\nThe Offshore Installation Engineer provides technical support to project teams planning and executing offshore installation activities. The Installation Engineer also engages Installation Group Critical Activity Specialists to obtain further expertise in the planning and review of critical activities when required. The Offshore Installation Engineer is the primary interface between the Installation Coordinator and a contractor’s technical organization\nThe Offshore Installation Engineer may also fill the role of Installation Field Engineer during offshore execution as opportunities arise. The Installation Field Engineer provides onboard installation engineering support to the Vessel Lead. The Installation Field Engineer communicates with other Installation Engineers for technical specialist input where appropriate\nJob Role Responsibilities\nPlanning and Technical Analysis\n- Develop and evaluate transportation and installation (T&I) execution strategies and equipment requirements to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations\n- Provide technical input to contractor qualification activities, Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages (e.g. scopes of work, specifications) and tender evaluations\nStakeholder Coordination\n- Coordinate with Critical Activity Specialists to apply collective expertise to project T&I plans, constructability reviews and project assessments\n- Interface with engineering disciplines to align design and analysis with project T&I means and methods\n- Monitor Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) review of installation plans and procedures to obtain third party approvals, as required\nProcedure and Risk Management\n- Review and approve installation procedures and contractor studies, ensuring compliance with project requirements\n- Participate in risk assessments and pre-mobilization reviews to mitigate potential execution risks\n- Develop T&I surveillance plans in collaboration with project team\nExecution Support\n- Provide technical support to field teams during execution of T&I activities, assisting with resolution of execution issues, site queries and vessel management of change forms\nFunctional Skills\nOffshore Installation\nExecution Planning\nPlanning & Scheduling\nCost Engineering\nConstruction Planning & Execution\nNothing herein is intended to override the corporate separateness of local entities.
