These resin formulations are based on cyclic C5 monomers and other proprietary monomers and additives. Our catalyst formulations have strong foundations in Nobel Prize-winning technology developed by Professor Robert Grubbs and his research team. This powerful combination produces polymers that have the capability to outperform today’s thermoset composite solutions across a broad set of everyday applications such as wind turbine blades, electric vehicle parts, construction, and anticorrosion coatings.\nYour role is to help prospective customers around the world convert from their existing thermoset products to ProxximaTM polyolefin thermoset systems by demonstrating cycle time, weight, and physical performance advantages on their pultrusion lines operating with injection dies.\nYour office is at the Baytown Technology and Engineering Complex located in Baytown, TX. However, you will spend time collaborating with commercial colleagues located at the ExxonMobil Campus in Spring, TX, as well as occasionally traveling in North America and internationally to support customer trials.\nWhat you will do\nProvide on-site technical support for customers producing fiber reinforced composites using injection-die pultrusion.\nAssist customers in optimizing / troubleshooting their process to run ProxximaTM resins and, where needed, provide guidance on equipment upgrades.\nLead application development projects utilizing pultrusion equipment located in our Baytown facilities.\nPersonally run this equipment to produce samples needed for these projects and customer sampling.\nProvide technical insights gleaned from the market to help guide new application developments.\nProvide market insights to inform and update business strategy.\nDevelop novel technology to strengthen the portfolio of intellectual property.\nAuthor technical reports and technical publications to share learnings.\nCo-author promotional brochures and technical data sheets highlighting performance benefits.\nTrain and mentor less experienced colleagues.\nAbout you\nMinimum Skills and Qualifications:\n5+ year experience operating or supervising manufacturing of thermoset parts using pultrusion including injection die processing.\nB.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent\nHands-on and willing / able to set-up and operate pultrusion lines without technician support. \nStrong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.\nProficient in use of computers and possess excellent administrative and organizational skills\nGood team player and self-motivated\nYour benefits\nAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
