Trust and respect are our core values; we embrace diversity and inclusion and foster a learning culture to continuously improve both individually and as a team.\nYour key responsibilities\nContribute to the growth of the AI & Data Practice for EY Romania, helping define the vision, roadmap, and priorities for AI services in alignment with EY global strategies and local market needs\nProvide leadership for AI delivery engagements, overseeing multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring quality, scalability, commercial success, and client satisfaction\nLead, grow, and mentor AI engineering teams, shaping technical capabilities, career development, and a strong high-performance culture\nActively contribute to business development, including solution design, proposals, client presentations, and identification of new AI-related opportunities with existing and prospective clients\nDesign and implement scalable AI and machine learning solutions, including data pipelines, model training, deployment, and monitoring frameworks\nLead the development and operationalization of ML models (MLOps), ensuring reliability, performance, and governance across environments\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (data, cloud, cybersecurity, business stakeholders) to define AI strategies, architectures, and best practices\nEvaluate and recommend AI tools, frameworks, and platforms (e.g., GenAI, LLMs, ML platforms) to enhance client capabilities and drive innovation\nEnsure AI solutions are secure, ethical, and compliant with relevant standards and regulatory requirements\nMonitor and optimize model performance, cost, and accuracy, implementing continuous improvements as needed\nSkills and attributes for success\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4-5 years focused on AI / machine learning projects and delivery leadership\nStrong hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LangChain, Hugging Face, etc.)\nExperience with GenAI/LLMs, prompt engineering, and building AI-powered applications\nSolid understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data platforms\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and AI/ML services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI)\nFamiliarity with MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and model lifecycle management\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment\nFull professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) and demonstrated integrity in a professional environment\nIdeally you`ll also\nBring experience with responsible AI, model explainability, and ethical AI frameworks\nHold certifications in AI/ML or cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Google Professional ML Engineer)\nHave exposure to advanced analytics, NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning\nDemonstrate experience integrating AI into enterprise architectures and business processes\nWhat we look for\nMore than anything, we’re interested in people with the right attitude for the job!
