Based in Melbourne or Sydney in a hybrid role, you'll shape quality strategy across multiple squads and releases, embedding quality from requirements through production deployment.\nYou'll champion end-to-end assurance across customer-facing digital platforms, Guidewire applications, APIs and integrated enterprise systems. You'll also lead automation and quality transformation using Playwright, AI-assisted testing, intelligent automation and modern engineering practices, while mentoring QA teams and partnering with business and technology stakeholders across Policy, Claims, Billing, Underwriting and Digital Insurance.\nYour Key Responsabilities\nDefine and execute test strategies, test plans, quality gates and release-readiness activities across multiple projects and delivery streams.\n\nLead functional and automation testing teams, providing mentoring, coaching and technical guidance.\n\nManage end-to-end Functional, Integration, System, Regression, UAT, API and Automation testing.\n\nDrive adoption of Playwright automation frameworks and establishautomation standards, best practicesand governance.\n\nOwn test estimation, resource planning, execution tracking, requirements traceability, test coverageand defect management.\n\nReview test plans, scenarios, automation scripts, evidenceand defect quality to support delivery excellence.\n\nCollaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects and Engineering Leads to strengthen coverage and mitigate risk.\n\nOversee validation of Quote, Policy, Claims, Billing, Renewals, Endorsements and Underwriting workflows.\n\nValidate end-to-end customer journeys across web applications, Guidewire platforms, APIsand third-party integrations.\n\nDrive the automation roadmap to improve regression coverage, execution efficiency, release confidenceand return on investment.\n\nLead Automation and AI Proofs of Concept and evaluate emerging testing tools, frameworksand engineering practices.\n\nEstablish quality metrics, dashboards and reporting that provide clear visibility of deliveryhealth, defect trendsand release readiness.\n\nEmbed continuous testing, shift-left practicesand quality gates across CI/CD pipelines.\n\nDrive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement to reduce recurring defects and defect leakage.\n\nOversee cloud testing strategy, test environments and test data validation across integrated applications, APIsand downstream systems.\n\nCommunicate quality outcomes, risks, recommendationsand readiness assessments to senior stakeholders.\n\nSkills and attributes for success\nDemonstrated leadership of Functional Testing and Quality Engineering teams in complex enterprise environments.\n\nStrong capability in Guidewire Insurance Suite testing, including integration, APIand end-to-end validation.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance processes across Quote, Policy, Claims, Billing and Underwriting.\n\nStrong capability in test strategy, planning, estimation, risk management, governanceand release readiness.\n\nExperience managing testing across Agile, SAFeand hybrid delivery models and across multiple workstreams and releases.\n\nProven capability building and scaling Playwright automation frameworks and reusable automation components.\n\nStrong knowledge of UI, API, Integrationand End-to-End testing methodologies.\n\nExperience driving AI-assisted testing, intelligent automationand quality engineering transformation.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence delivery decisions.\n\nStrong understanding of software development life cycles, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and cloud-native or containerisedenvironments.\n\nCapability defining quality KPIs, dashboards, defect trendsand continuous-improvementactions.\n\nDemonstrated ability to mentor QA Engineers, Senior Testers, Automation Engineersand Test Analysts.\n\nHands-on capability with Playwright, API automation, Java, Rest Assured, Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps and test management tools.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, leadershipand decision-making skills.\n\nIdeally, you'll also have the skills and attributes below but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes.
