The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Editorial team to copy check, language check and ensure brand compliance of English language content to be published in a range of media - including print and digital. The role will also require mentoring junior editors, performing quality checks and even leading small teams.\nYour key responsibilities\nEnsure content passing through the team is grammatically correct and brand-compliant\nMaintain a log to track the number/percentage of errors in the content\nPerform research to assist the editorial team with writing projects\nProvide writing support when necessary\nLiaise with other in-house teams, writers, designers and production staff to negotiate timelines and ensure brand compliance and grammatical accuracy of content\nOrganize and research projects to tight deadlines\nSupport editorial staff in all activities leading to a publication\nCorrect manuscripts\nEffectively prioritize work, and balance multiple priorities simultaneously to meet client commitments and deadlines\nReview the work of junior editors, provide constructive feedback and help drive best practices in grammar, messaging, writing and style within the team\nSkills and attributes for success\nGood communication skills and experience working with multi-location teams or customers\nBusiness/marketing/content/creative writing/editing/proofreading or communications background\nProfessional, confident and enthusiastic team player with a flexible can-do attitude and the ability to work with virtual teams\nExceptional writing, proofreading skills and experience\nTo qualify for the role, you must have\nAt least 5ss-6 years of related experience\nBachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in English literature or mass communication\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nPrevious experience working in publishing houses or working on business content\nAptitude and willingness to continually expand your core skillset\nTechnologies and tools\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat/PDF-XChange\nKnowledge in Project Management tools and methods\nWhat we look for\nA motivated self-starter who can adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment\nExceptional at problem-solving, solution-driven and customer service focused\nExcellent work ethic and the ability to thrive in a time-sensitive environment\nFlexible and adaptable to fluctuating workflow levels and timings\nWhat we offer\nEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
