We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to lead the team and performing business development with other team leaders.\nYour key responsibilities\nAs Data Engineering lead, you will have the following responsibilities:\nLead clients discussions going from defining the problem, Advising on the solution (Data Architecture, Best practices guidance, technology stack and standards) and supporting implementation.\nLead the design, development, and maintenance of efficient data pipelines .\nCreate robust data products that leverage cloud Data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks , Azure Synapse, Fabric.\nUse cloud services to build scalable, reliable, and efficient data solutions.\nHelp translate data and analytics requirements into data solutions based on the approved technical designs. \nEnable test automation and ensure CI/CD pipelines are in good health. \nImplement monitoring of data applications and track product quality, performance, and stability. \nCarry out effective technical design reviews to ensure that the right architecture patterns are used by the team.\nProvide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.\nLead a team of Data Engineers to thrive by promoting teamwork, providing guidance, and encouraging skill enhancement.\nSkills and attributes for success\nMaster’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or another relevant subject.\nMinimum 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering & Cloud platforms.\nFluent in Dutch and/or French, proficient business English. \nExperience with batch and real-time processing frameworks. \nExpertise in proactive performance monitoring, conducting data quality testing. \nExperience in assembling data from multiple sources and analyzing and modelling complex datasets.\nHands-on Experience with Cloud data platforms like Snowflake, databricks, fabric. \nPractical knowledge of cloud possibilities and limitations in areas like distributed systems, load balancing, networking, massive data storage, and security.\nUnderstanding of data architecture concepts such as data modelling, Big Data storage, Lambda architecture, data vault, and dimensional modelling, Data Fabric and Data Mesh is nice to have.\nExcellent analytical skills and problem solver.\nStrong communicator who understands team dynamics, able to support where needed and lead when asked.\nExperience in leading and coaching technical teams.\nWhat we offer you\nYou will be part of a leading global professional services firm.\nYou will be part of the EY family where everyone is willing to offer support and senior management is very accessible.\nYou will join a dynamic and growing team with a great mix of young and experienced professionals focusing on financial services.\nYou will get extensive trainings on technical matters, as well as soft skills and project management, and you will have access to new technologies and innovative equipment.\nWe are proud of our flexible working arrangements, and we will support you to build a successful career and deliver excellent client service, without sacrificing your personal priorities.\nWhile our client-facing profession might require part-time working at client site and business traveling at times, we are committed to helping you achieve a lifestyle balance.\nAre you ready to shape your future with confidence?
