The role combines modern frontend engineering, backend services, API and data integration, real-time streaming, cloud-native deployment, automated testing, accessibility, observability and production support.\nThe successful candidate should be able to discuss enterprise, pre-production or production implementations, including the business context, individual contribution, technical design, controls, delivery approach and outcomes. Certifications and personal demonstrations supplement, but do not replace, implementation experience.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test and support responsive enterprise web applications, dashboards, chat interfaces, copilots and agent-based user experiences.\nBuild reusable and accessible frontend components using React, TypeScript and Next.js or equivalent modern frameworks.\nDevelop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI, or .NET, Java or Node.js, following API-first and microservices patterns.\nCreate and integrate REST or GraphQL APIs, enterprise services, workflow platforms, databases, search services and AI/LLM endpoints.\nImplement real-time interactions using WebSockets, Server-Sent Events or token streaming with resilient connection, retry and error-handling patterns.\nDesign application state management, authentication and authorization, session handling, caching and secure client-server communication.\nApply secure coding practices, input and output validation, secrets protection, dependency management, privacy controls and safe rendering of AI-generated content.\nWrite unit, integration, API, UI and end-to-end automated tests; participate in code reviews, quality gates and release validation.\nContainerize services and contribute to CI/CD, cloud deployment, environment configuration, monitoring, logging and production support.\nOptimize performance, scalability, availability, accessibility, browser compatibility and user experience across frontend and backend components.\nTroubleshoot issues across UI, APIs, databases, cloud services, network paths, authentication, streaming and AI integrations.\nPrepare technical designs, API specifications, implementation documentation, test evidence and runbooks; contribute reusable components, SDKs and engineering standards.\nCollaborate with architects, UX designers, product owners, AI engineers, data engineers, security teams and business stakeholders; mentor junior developers where required.\nSkills and Attributes\nProfessional Experience\n4-8 years of experience in full-stack, frontend, backend or cloud-native application development.\nHands-on experience delivering enterprise or client-facing applications through development, testing, deployment and production support.\nExperience integrating AI/ML, GenAI, chatbot, copilot or agent capabilities into web applications is preferred.\nFrontend Skills\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, React and modern web development; experience with Next.js is preferred.\nStrong understanding of HTML5, CSS, responsive design, component architecture, state management, forms, routing and browser behavior.\nExperience building reusable component libraries, typed API clients, dashboards, chat interfaces and accessible user experiences.\nWorking knowledge of WebSockets, Server-Sent Events or token-level streaming and safe display of model-generated content.\nBackend and Data Skills\nStrong proficiency in at least one backend stack such as Python with FastAPI, .NET, Java with Spring Boot, or Node.js.\nExperience with REST APIs, GraphQL, JSON, authentication, authorization, asynchronous processing, microservices and event-driven patterns.\nExperience with SQL and relational databases; exposure to NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, vector databases or enterprise search is beneficial.\nUnderstanding of GenAI and RAG integration, LLM APIs, prompt workflows, tool calling and agent-service integration is preferred.\nCloud, Quality and Operations Skills\nExperience with Azure, AWS or GCP and cloud-native application services.\nWorking knowledge of Git, Docker, Kubernetes or managed containers, CI/CD, automated testing and environment configuration.\nExperience with logging, monitoring, tracing, performance optimization and production troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of application security, OWASP practices, privacy, accessibility, secure SDLC and Responsible AI controls for AI-enabled applications.\nSoft Skills\nStrong problem-solving, design thinking, code quality and technical documentation skills.\nGood communication and collaboration across UX, product, architecture, AI, data, platform and security teams.\nAbility to translate business and user requirements into maintainable, high-quality technical solutions.\nEducation and Preferred Certifications\nBachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.\nRelevant cloud, application development, DevOps or AI certifications are preferred.\nWhy Join Us\nBe at the forefront of AI-driven innovation across multiple client sectors.\nWork with global clients to deliver measurable business impact.\nCollaborate with AI experts, analytics leaders and industry specialists in a highly entrepreneurial environment.\nWhat We Offer\nEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
